New Character! - Nuevo Personaje!
Quetzalcóatl, the feathered serpent. It's name comes from the Náhuatl (language of the aztecs); quetzal which is a bird, considered one of the world's most beautiful; and cóatl which means snake. He was one of the major deities of the Aztec pantheon. He was the life-giver, the inventor of the calendar and books, and the protectorof craftsmen; he was also identified with the planet Venus. As the morning and evening star, Quetzalcóatl was the symbol of death and resurrection.
And now, at last, we have our dear Quetzalcóatl finished! He was a very important god to the Aztecs and now he comes back as one of the main characters of our short film. I am really excited to be able to share with you this character and can't wait for you to get to know him.
Quetzalcóatl, la serpiente emplumada. Su nombre viene del Náhuatl (la lengua de los Aztecas); quetzal el cuál es un ave, considerado uno de los mas hermosos del mundo; y cóatl que significa serpiente. Él era una de las deidades mas importantes de la mitología Azteca. Él era el dador de vida, el inventor del calendario y los libros, y el protector del artesano; también era identificado como el planeta Vénus. Como la estrella de la mañana y de la tarde, Quetzalcóatl era el símbolo de la muerte y la resurrección.
Y ahora, por fín tenemos a nuestro querido Quetzalcóatl terminado! Él era un dios muy importante para los Aztecas y ahora regresa como uno de los personajes principales de nuestro cortometraje.
